Support For Menopause in the Workplace

We are often asked about what help is available to employers to support women and their families through the menopause.  Menopause can have a huge effect on a person’s life, at home and at work.

The experience of menopause can be psychologically and physically consuming and often cause women to have to take time away from work.  It can be hard to know who to turn to for advice and support and the insurers we work with offer a broad range of help, support and advice for women and their families who are struggling to deal with menopause.

Bupa

  • Talk one-to-one with menopause-trained nurses using their Menopause HealthLine in which you can be guided to specialist support teams within Bupa.
  • Partners and dependants can also use the Menopause HealthLine, if they’re named on your health scheme.

Vitality

  • Access to a range of menopause support services which includes an online information hub, personalised app-based care and onward referral for certain treatments.   - you can download the Peppy app where you can access one-to-one consultations with a menopause practitioner and trustworthy, vetted links and resources.

AXA Health

  • Speak with an expert menopause practitioner through the use of the Peppy app.
  • As AXA Health members, employees can also speak to someone at their 24/7 health support line, providing them with a team of nurses, pharmacists and counsellors to give support.

 Aviva

  • Access a wide range of advice and support through their website, giving help with recognising symptoms of menopause, raising awareness of the effects of menopause and offering practical help to make menopause more manageable.

WPA

  •  WPA products include a benefit for treatment by a therapist, which will help your employee feel able to tackle the issue of menopause.
  • WPA offers menopause support from WPA's Health and Wellbeing Helplines. This is a confidential service, available 24/7, 365 days a year for WPA members and their families.

Providing women and their families going through the menopause with help and support they need is crucial in creating a workspace which allows them to focus better on work and at home.
